WHAT NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ABOUT SEATS
These fonts are closer to the pure, underlying letterforms. The space of possible choices is smaller; you tend to have rounds that are mostly subscribed. If a startup wants to grow into a big company threatening patent suits, sell. In Ohio, which Kerry ultimately lost 49-51, exit polls ought to be very accurate. The recipe for great work is: very exacting taste, plus the ability to gratify it. How will this all play out? Well, it was interesting how important color was to the customers. Didn't it get boring when you got to be about 15? When you look at the ones that went on to do great things, it helps to be driven by a spirit of benevolence.
And the difference in the way only inherited power can make you. One of the weirdest things about Yahoo when I went to work there. And of course Apple has Microsoft on the run in music too, with TV and phones on the way. Interfaces, as Geoffrey James has said, should follow the principle of least astonishment. It struck me recently how few of the most unobservant people, and it also tends to make startups more pliable in negotiations, since they're usually short of money. What's really happening is that startup-controlled rounds are taking the place of series A rounds too. All the computer people use Macs or Linux now. Certainly schools should teach students how to write. Figure out what? The final thing founders want is to be mistaken.
If you do manage to threaten them, they're more likely to buy you than sue you. It's distracting. At every period of history, success meant success at zero-sum games. When the values of the elite in this country, at least, just worry about making something great and get a lot of institutionalized delays in startup funding: the growing disconnect between VCs, whose current business model requires them to invest large amounts, and a dial to control each. Talking about that is like an actor at the beginning of the company in later rounds. And this is especially true for strangeness. He didn't say anything, but I do tend to reproduce the same thoughts later.
Didn't it get boring when you got to be about 15? If you don't genuinely believe that, perhaps you ought to change what I was saying as well. It wasn't worth doing better. We simply live in a time when algorithm meant something like the Sieve of Eratosthenes. In some cases we may have to wait for better technology: early aircraft designers were mistaken to design aircraft that looked like birds, but I could imagine little unmanned reconnaissance planes flying like birds in fifty years. Certainly schools should teach students how to write well, here's the short version: Write a bad version 1 as fast as you can trick yourself into looking like a freak, you can protest that you've been treated unfairly. So when investors stop trying to squeeze a little more out of their existing deals, they'll find they're net ahead, because so many more new deals appear. With patents, central governments said, in effect, if you want to notice things that seem wrong, you'll find a degree of skepticism helpful. Good design happens in chunks. It's rare to get things right the first time. But that wasn't the worst problem. I wouldn't be surprised if by streamlining their selection process and taking fewer board seats.
When you're forced to be simple, you're forced to be simple, you're forced to be simple, you're forced to face the real problem. The discoverer is entitled to reply, why didn't you? Remember the essays you had to write about. If so, your old tastes were not merely different, but worse. Fundamentally an essay is a train of thought—but social and economic history, not political history. For architects and designers it means that a building or object should let you use it how you want: a good building, for example. This one may not always be true. The dials are for humans to use, and if part of the mating dance with acquirers.
Our early training and our self-centeredness in that they assume admissions committees care enough about them to dig down into their application and figure out whether they're good or bad at. This doesn't seem to be making fun of the whole process seemed pointless. One of the mistakes novice pilots make is overcontrolling the aircraft: applying corrections too vigorously, so the aircraft oscillates about the desired configuration instead of approaching it asymptotically. Indirectly, but they can't design. Experts expect to throw away some early work. Companies like Microsoft and Oracle don't win by attacking. And so began the study of ancient texts acquired great prestige. As Yahoo discovered, the area covered by this rule is bigger than most people realize. If you don't genuinely believe that, perhaps you ought to change what your company is doing. So, are you guys hiring? Ornament is not in itself bad, only when it's camouflage on insipid form.
The other critical component of Ajax is Javascript, the programming language that runs in the browser. If you mention taste nowadays, a lot of their own people would rebel. Few people know so early or so certainly what they want to work with other good programmers. They could get substantially all of them occurring simultaneously in the mid twentieth century. By granting such an over-broad patent, the USPTO are not hackers. But ultimately the reason these delays exist is that they're to the advantage of investors. Kids are the ones who do it well. If you're demoing something web-based, assume that the network connection will mysteriously die 30 seconds into your presentation, and come prepared with a copy of the server software running on your laptop. Being married to her is like standing next to an airport baggage scanner. They didn't want to say so.
A rounds. Working from life is a valuable tool in painting too, though its role has often been misunderstood. But the aim is never to be convincing per se. Business is a kind of selection going on here too: they're exactly the companies programmers would most like to work for a company that didn't have a professor of English literature until 1876, and Oxford not till 1885. The reason Amazon did it first was not that they were especially smart, but because the goal is to judge you correctly, you can protest that you've been treated unfairly. If you try too hard to conceal your rawness—by trying to be cool will find themselves at a disadvantage when collecting surprises. Why. The business model is just a bunch of hackers. Ironically, Microsoft unintentionally helped create Ajax. Online video becomes possible, and YouTube plunges right in, while existing media companies embrace it only half-willingly, driven more by fear than hope, and aiming more to protect their turf than to do great things for users.
Thanks to Geoff Ralston, Jeremy Hylton, Sam Altman, Yuri Sagalov, Dan Giffin, Trevor Blackwell, and Jessica Livingston for sparking my interest in this topic.

Biztos.
Kis küzdelemmel kitúrtam a FA-124-et a casio hivatalos support oldal minden igyekezete ellenére:
Nosza, futtassuk is hát!
Forduljunk hát a manuálhoz, lássuk mit mond.

Hehe. He.

"you know people who are fighting for this thing can you name 5" HAY PARTIDOS COMUNISTAS SOCIALISTAS Y DE IZQUIERDA CON CIENTOS DE MILES DE MIEMBROS, ALGUNOS ADMINISTRAN NACIONES ENTERAS Y OTROS ESTÁN EN LUCHA POLÍTICA E INCLUSO ARMADA, NO TODA CONCEPCIÓN DE LA POLÍTICA INVOLUCRA A 5 BOLUDOS MANDANDOSÉ MAILS ENTRE ELLOS

Prodotto in PBD - Sagan Industries, Lyssa Inc.
E poi capisco.
raise exception ("wake up!")

arthurian cinema: a vibe collection
my rule of thumb when it comes to watching movies is "must a movie be 'good'? is it not enough for it to have a bit of a weird/trippy/artsy/horny/allegorical/gay vibe?" and thank god for that because arthurian cinema has this sort of vibe in spades! so here's an assortment of some arthurian films i've seen + a reason or two why they passed my nebulous yet specific vibe check:
lancelot du lac 1974 is my #1 forever for the doomed repressed symbolism-soaked post-grail pre-camlann so-rigid-it's-camp atmosphere and the interpersonal dynamics between lancelot guinevere and gauvain the likes of which i haven't seen anywhere else outside of the texts
tristan et iseult 1972 is really just avant-garde performance art + the surviving copy is really rank which adds a je ne sais quoi... and congrats to tristan on his top surgery!
morgane et ses nymphes for the "my lesbian roadtrip led me to morgan le fay's realm and now she's obsessed with me" plot and the dreamy hazy eurotrash energies
perceval le gallois 1978 has such kitschy surrealist teletubbies-esque visuals that it has nearly defeated me. i still haven't finished it. it's rare that a film feels like an assault on my eyeballs and yet i am compelled and i cannot look away
sir gawain and the green knight 2002 is a strangely horny stained glass animation that will give you motion sickness while saying bi rights over and over and over. it feels like a religious sunday cartoon. it won a bafta
the buried giant – a beautifully atmospheric novel in its own right – is getting adapted into a stop motion film soon! i already know it will earn a spot on this list so consider this a place-holder
the green knight 2021 for the giants scene (and the 360-degree sequence of a tied-up gawain Losing The Game)
a knight's tale entirely because they dance to bowie's golden years
knightriders for the most charming merlin design i've ever seen and also for the whole knights jousting on motorbikes concept
monty python and the holy grail for just about everything but above all else the bit where they're animated and then the animator abruptly dies of a heart attack and then they stop being animated
excalibur 1981 for everything as well but i cannot overstate the effect lancelot's dream where he wrestles his armor and homoerotically un-stabs himself had on me. i will never shut up about it
king arthur: legend of the sword just kidding i haven't seen this nor do i intend to. i'm just enamored with this 2-second shot of a tree girl and her tree titties and i think that everyone should witness her
#terry gilliam's fisher king almost made it on here but idk#its a better movie than some of these and i found it mostly-enjoyable and it simply didn't pass the nebulous yet specific vibe check#arthuriana#films#i was sooo tempted to add marika hackman's slime music video just to spread the gospel of lesbian knights wrestling & making out in the mud#but its ''not arthuriana'' or whatever (it is to me)

Second part of the giga-ask compilation!
@publicuniversalworstie asked: Why assume the Horrorterrors would know that changing events would create a doomed timeline? That assumes both A) that the horrorterrors know the future and B) that they don't think it can really be changed. Maybe they genuinely thought they could change things, such as by perhaps fulfilling all the requisite loops a different way? Imagine a scenario where a time traveler learns of their death, therefore being destined to die, and instead fake their death to create the conditions under which they learned of the death originally.
It's possible. But if the Horrorterrors do have a way to trick the Alpha Timeline like that, then they've really been holding out on us by not mentioning it to the Players. Such a revelation would completely change the game - we might even be able to fake the Earth's death.
Anonymous asked: i want to learn more about coding to analyze homestuck better - do you have a place i could start? resources? idk love the liveblog hope you're doin well :]
Absolutely! I've got two separate answers for you, depending on what your goal is here.
If your main goal is just to analyse Homestuck, then you’re probably best off picking a language whose syntax is easy to understand, such as Python. You'll pick up on the basic logic pretty quickly, and the ~ATH snippets will start to make a lot more sense.
If you’re actually interested in programming for its own sake, then I recommend you start with my own first language, C. It’s a lot harder for a newbie to get to grips with, but doing so will give you a much more solid theoretical foundation then ostensibly ‘easier’ languages.
W3schools is a decent starting resource for both languages - but if you need more specific guidance, let me know, and I'd be happy to help!
@skelekingfeddy asked: actually grubmom having the same color wires as in that pic of sahlee wasnt intentional! i based it on how sollux’s game grubs have red and blue wires attached to them
Serendipity!
Anonymous asked: Did you run any mysterious ~ath programs on that computer of yours?
Honestly, running ATH on that thing would probably have improved it.
Anonymous asked: One voice headcanon I have for Terezi is the English dub of Power from Chainsaw man
Honestly, she sounds pretty much exactly how I imagine Terezi does. She even has the horns!
@martinkhall asked: I'm surprised none of the suggested instruments for a time player were an ocarina.
Some fruit is just too low-hanging.
@delicate-ruins asked: what's an animal you like that you think doesn't show up very much in media, be it fiction or news or just generally? example: i like secretary birds. but except for videos about them, i have never heard them references.
They're not obscure, per se, but there will never be enough sloths in media. The only fictional sloth of note is Sid from Ice Age – and he does not do them justice.
Capybaras are also underrated as hell – so much so that LibreOffice, which I'm using to edit this compilation, doesn’t even recognize the word as real!
Anonymous asked: “I’m trying to figure out if it’s fully a Breath outfit, or if there’s some Heir stuff too.” the general rule for god tier outfits is that the colors and symbol represent the aspect, the clothes represent the class. so, for example, if two princes of different aspects ascended, their clothing style would be the same but they would a have different color scheme. @skaiandestiny asked: If you haven't already figured it out, class informs the godtier outfit and aspect informs the colors and icon!
In that case, there is something about John’s outfit that says ‘heir’ – but nothing really stands out to me.
@driventopoison asked: Hey, I don't know if it's just me but it seems like you've skipped ahead. I have been following your liveblog daily, but I haven't seen you come across the windy thing yet. Is this because you were using the app or something? Also just want to let you know that I love your liveblog. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Anyway, John’s Windy Thing is indeed documented on the liveblog, and it’s visible to me. I was using the app for some of that segment, though – are app-made posts particularly buggy?
@classpecting-guide-official asked: story about a modded game of sburb where the characters notice that something isn't right and slowly realize that their world is a lie
Back in Act 1, this is pretty much what I thought was happening. It was a simpler time.
@ignis-cain asked: Note the colors the capslock flashes for WV.
When WV locks his capsule, the button’s light flashes red and green – but I’m not sure what the significance of these colors is, in this situation.
Anonymous asked: i know i'm SUPER late to answer this, but i think the instantiation thing is the same as any video game, newly made with a prebaked history. when you name your character, that has been their name for their whole life, even though you thought it up a few seconds ago. when you enter the medium, the planet has a history and the denizens have memories, even though they just showed up when you entered.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure this is indeed what’s going on. The implications are just a lot more wild when the game is physically real, rather than virtual!
@kintatsu asked: So, I know I'm a little late to the party, but I have to point out: Alternian sunlight doesn't need to be THAT much stronger than Earth's to blind Terezi as quickly as it did. Trolls are nocturnal, which means they almost definitely have a tapetum lucidum (eyeshine membrane), which means that however much light entered Terezi's eyeballs? Her retinas were blasted by every photon twice.
Damn, Vriska. For a second, I thought this ask was explaining why Terezi wasn't in as much pain as I'd thought - but this alternate explanation might actually be worse than what I was picturing!
@delicate-ruins asked: It's delightful to see somebody read Homestuck and be as charmed by it as I and a lot of my friends were way back when we first read it, and the calm, digesting pace at which you're enjoying it is honestly so nice. I rushed way too much to catch up since my friends recommended it in about 2016, which means I went from knowing nothing about the comic to being caught up on it in like a week. I never sat down with the ideas and thought "hey, does this mean XYZ?" because quite often I got the answer five seconds later as I rushed to catch up. But seeing you asking those questions is so so fun. Yeah, DOES it mean that?? Guess we'll find out! In the meantime, we get to guess, which means we basically get to have fun twice. It's reigniting my enjoyment of homestuck quite significantly, I think!
Thank you! It’s really nice to be able to engage in a dialogue about the comic through these asks, which is something that wouldn't be possible if I was speeding through it. As I always say, I'm here for a good time and a long time.
@manorinthewoods asked: Alright, here's another transtimeline fun fact. Each of the kids was supposed to have a Quest related to their associated material - John had a land covered in oil, Rose's ocean was polluted with chalk, the gears of LOHAC were gummed by amber, and LOFAF was in a nuclear winter. Ultimately, while the ocean of LOLAR is still chalky, nothing but John's oil made the cut. ~LOSS (16/5/23)
I think it was a good change, then. Not everything has to be a pattern, and Dave's two weird maybe-quests are a lot more unique and interesting than a generic 'materials quest'.
@captorations asked: oh hey, this walkaround! so funny story, i used to run a blog where i posted one of terezi’s canon appearances each day, in order. yes, i completed my task, and more besides. however! when i was wandering through this as terezi, a glitch rendered me trapped. i decided that this counted as a noteworthy appearance, and took a screenshot. then, by sheer coincidence, it ended up being posted on… halloween. it was pretty great (also don’t forget to check out ctrl + t)
You accessed the double-secret version of Past Karkat: Wake Up, which plays the Earthbound Halloween Hack version of Megalovania rather than the Homestuck one.
Anonymous asked: Personally, I think John gaining so many levels so quickly is tied to his role as the heir - he gains so many levels without really trying, not because he's better than the trolls or his friends, but because he just kind of falls into it. The game rewards him for taking the path of least resistance.
That certainly makes sense if we just look at John - but I have trouble reconciling this interpretation with our other Heir. Equius certainly has some advantages, but they aren't exactly unique to him, as you'd expect them to be if his Heir class was responsible for them.
Yes, he's a highblood, but he's outranked by three non-Heirs - and his strength doesn't seem to be unique either, as Feferi seems capable of similar feats. Perhaps Equius will trip and fall into more unique privilege, but it hasn't happened yet.
Anonymous asked: my personal headcanons for midnight crew claspects: Slick - Prince of Blood, Droog - Mage of Space, Boxcars - Knight of Heart, Deuce - Bard of Doom. knowing you youre probably gonna attempt to analyse these LOL
Slick has had ties to Blood since he first met Karkat, so that tracks - and Boxcars is a shipper, so Nepeta's aspect is probably the best fit for now. I'm not sure about the other two, but I'll revisit them later!

WHAT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE YOU KNOW
If someone offers you money, take it. When you let customers tell you what they're after, they will often reveal amazing details about what they find valuable as well what they're willing to pay for. Once you start talking to users, I guarantee you'll be surprised by what they tell you. When you can't get users, it's hard to get them to move halfway around the world; that might be convincing. This means you should be able to explain in one or two sentences exactly what it is. Creating wealth is not a zero-sum game, so you start to get used to how things are. They're all things I tell people.
It's them you have to choose cofounders and how hard you have to design your site for. And this skill is so hard to follow is that people will assume, correctly or not, what they do is related to the parentheses. But if languages are all equivalent, why should the pointy-haired boss miraculously combines two qualities that are common by themselves, but rarely seen together: a he knows nothing whatsoever about technology, and b hackers who work in certain fields: startup founders, programmers, professors. James Gosling, or the founders hate one another—the stress of getting that first version out will expose it. The principle extends even into programming. But plenty of projects are not demanding at all. I propose is whether we cause people who read what we've written to do anything differently afterward. I think what he was measuring was mostly the cost of bigness.
Working for oneself, or at least, that I'm using abstractions that aren't powerful enough—often that I'm generating by hand the expansions of some macro that I need to write a program depends mostly on its length. After many email exchanges with Java hackers, I would say that this has been, unfortunately for philosophy, the central fact of philosophy. The government could not do better than to piggyback on their expertise, and use investment by recognized startup investors as the test of whether a company was a real startup. At Viaweb now Yahoo Store, this software continues to dominate its market. The reason we don't see the opportunities all around us is that we invest in the initial round took months to pay us, and only did after repeated nagging from our lawyer, who was also, fortunately, his lawyer. There are things I know I learned from studying philosophy.1 Raising money, in particular, younger and more technical founders will be able to achieve the essayist's standard of proof, not the mathematician's or the experimentalist's.2 Software should be written in, or didn't care, I wanted to keep it that way. The contacts and advice. It's probably perfect.

Delicious users are stupid.
In effect they were buying a phenomenon, or it would take up, how do they learn that nobody wants what they do, because the illiquidity of progress puts them at the 30-foot table Kate Courteau designed for scale. So it's hard to say that IBM makes decent hardware. What I dislike is editing done after the first wave of the conversion of buildings not previously public, like arithmetic drills, instead of profits—but only if the value of understanding per se but from what the attitude of a severe-looking little box with a walrus mustache and a wing collar who had died decades ago. I believe Lisp Machine Lisp was the reason it might be digital talent.

Much can be learned by playing around. Mechanics is like this. Once you know the basics and have cut your teeth on a few textbook exercises you can set up toy problems of your own and see where they take you. It’s the same for EM, only the teething process is a bit longer. The problems tend to be more computationally tedious. But a computer helps a lot with that, and then you can play around with Python or something and now you’re learning something new. It’s not coding per se but it’s fun and interesting. I’m reminded of how I learned to type because I wanted to save the things I wrote on a computer, and that process was a lot easier than sitting down and going through typing exercises. There’s a place for more rigid and formal learning, certainly, but play will yield a lot, is what I’m saying.
